Some people might say hell is a place of fire and brimstone (Sorry Tanje for using a mildly bad word on your blog! really needed to though!). I say it's a place of paperwork. Infernal, repetitious, pointless, boring, repetitious (did I just repeat myself? Oops! Just staying in the mood of things!) paperwork! Yes, it will be well well worth it, but really, there's enough paper to account for a whole forest. I think the immigration paperwork (the Canadian stuff, not the Vietnamese) is by far the worst. So, advice to you: don't immigrate unless you love scratching your pen across miles of white boxes and fill-in-the-blanks and other inane frontiers.
Anywhoo, on to the great stuff: we have some provisional dates! Here they are:
- Meet Tanje: November 7.
- Our 'Gotcha Day': November 8
- 5 glorious days of paperwork
- trip to Halong Bay (look it up online - it's gorgeous)
- probably more paperwork (I'm sure somebody's cooking it up as I write)
- return to Canada: early December
